You will be welcomed by our team members at the Airport and will be then ushered to the Hotel. Our travel representatives and team members will explain briefly about the travel itinerary upon your arrival. Overnight stay at a hotel.
On the second morning, you will be driving to Arughat which nearly takes about 8 hours. The drive is divided to two parts. First you will be driving until Dhading Besi, the district headquarter of Dhading district, for 4 hours. From there, you will be travelling until Arughat for another 4 hours of drive. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Arughat.
A couple of hours drive further from Arughat and a few hours trek leads us to Soti Khola, a small town located on the banks of Budhi Gandaki River. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Soti Khola.
On the fourth day, we will be doing mild climbing from Soti Khola. The trail is comfortable and a five hours trek along the sandy banks of Budhi Gandaki River and across several forests takes us to Machha Khola where we will be staying for the night at a guesthouse.
The next day we cross the Machhaikhola or the fish stream and head towards the tiny village of Khorlabeshi. One the way we also come across a hot spring popularly called in Nepali as Tatopani. Many trekkers stop for a while and take a dip inside the hot spring. Local tea shops are present all the way along the trail until we reach Jagat, where we will be staying for the overnight.
After having breakfast in the morning, we resume our trek and follow an uphill trail before crossing the suspension bridge over Budhi Gandaki River. Then we reach a traditional Gurung village called Philim. From Philim, we again climb uphill and stop for lunch at Ekle Bhatti. The destination for the day is Lokpa, the first village of the Tsum valley on our trail. Overnight stay guesthouse.
On the seventh day, we take an ascending route from Lokpa before stopping along the way for lunch. Chumling is located on the south of the Shingri Himal and it is a short days trek as four hours trekking is enough to take us to Chumling. It also has several monasteries and you can enjoy the rest of the day visiting the monasteries and Gompas. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
The eighth day of the trek is very exciting as we start our trek having breakfast in the morning. It takes around 6 hours to reach Rachen Gompa. Views of several mountains including the popular Ganesh Himal Range are possible from Rachen Gompa. To much surprise, some Gurung community in the region practice polyandry. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
After having breakfast in the morning, we start our trek to Mu Gompa which takes around five hours. Mu Gompa has a very old Buddhist monastery which is quite popular in the region. Mu Gompa is the highest point of the trek and it is also the highest point in the Tsum valley. Mu Gompa has also been a hub for Tibetan traders. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
On the 10th day, we explore around the Gompa area and acclimatize for the rest of the day. We stroll around the local settlement area and interact with the local villagers. It can be a wonderful opportunity to know and learn about the traditional Tibetan culture. Overnight stay in camp or guest house.
The eleventh day of the trek follows entirely descending trail as we enjoy the beautiful natural landscape while climbing down the trek. After almost four hours of trek, we reach Chhule, the place for our overnight stay in a guesthouse.
It is a short days trek on day twelve, as we head towards Lungdang Gompa. The trail also provides great opportunity to see the beautiful views of Mount Manaslu and Ganesh Himal. Lungdang Gompa is also home to some beautiful monastery. Also the early morning sun rise view of Ganesh Himal is quite spectacular. Overnight stay in a guesthouse or a camp.
It is a short trek from Lungdang Gompa to Lopka via the beautiful village of Philim. We follow a descending trail all the way to Lokpa while crossing several pine and fir forests on the way. Several wildlife including Musk dears might also be visible on the way. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
The trail now is undulating with occasional rise and falls. Spectacular waterfalls greet you on the way, so do more suspension bridges. Before reaching Bihi Phedi, we pass the beautiful Eklebhatti village. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
We pass several Gurung settlement areas and valleys on day eight as we move up the fascinating trail. Namrung has many Buddhist monasteries and Gompas that signify that the Tibetan culture is still quite popular in the region. Trail with carved stones can also be new to some foreign trekkers. We will visit the nearby village in Namrung and stay overnight at a guesthouse there.
The trail from Namrung to Lho Gaon or village is quite winding and serpentine as we cross several rivers and streams. While on our way, we can also enjoy the mountain views of several mountain peaks like the Mount Manaslu, Gorkha Himal, and many others. The destination for the day is the beautiful village of Lho full with traditional Tibetan culture. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
On day 17, we will be trekking just around 400 meters and by the end of the day’s trek we will reach Sama Gaon loacted at 3530 meters of altitude. Sama Gaon is a wonderful little village which provides great view of Mount Manaslu. There is also a popular Gompa, monastery, in Sama Gaon. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
The trail to Samdo crosses several grazing and pasture areas and then gradually climbs up the valley. We can have fantastic view of the Himalayan Mountains especially Mount Manaslu and others once we reach Samdo. Samdo is also the last permanent settlement area in the valley and this remote village is just a day's walk away from the neighboring Tibet border. For the rest of the time, we stay in Samdo and acclimatize ourselves to the conditions and altitude. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
After leaving the village of Samdo, we cross a stream and reach now deserted Larkya Bazaar. Years ago, this village used to be a major trade point with Tibet. But, the village looks sorry these days as the traders have chosen some other places for trade along the Tibetan border. From Larkya Bazaar, we head towards Dharamsala which is situated at an altitude of around 4500 meters. Overnight stay at a guesthouse
We leave Dharamsala the next morning after having breakfast. The trail until Bhimtang is downhill all the way and it takes around 5 hours to reach the village of Bhimtang. Bhimtang is also beautiful village with many hotels and lodges targeted for the trekkers. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
We have to cover a lot of distance on day 21 and hence we start early in the morning after having light breakfast. We also have one last chance to behold the excellent view of Mount Manaslu to the South East and Mount Annapurna to the South West. In between the return trail, we also reach the village of Tilje before finally reaching the destination of Dharapani. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
From Dharapani, the trail follows along the banks of Marshyangdi River. The persistent sound of the flowing river, the forests and the smell from the trees could be very refreshing for the tourists who have been tired from almost three weeks trek. Upon reaching Jagat, we stay overnight at a guesthouse.
It nearly takes around five hours to reach Bhul Bhula from Jagat. We continue to walk along the banks of Marshyangdi River as we cross several villages like Ghermu, Bahundanda before finally reaching Bhul Bhula. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.
On the 24th day, we return back to Kathmandu via the Prithvi Highway along the banks of first the Marshyangdi River and then the Trishuli River. It takes around 8 hours to reach the capital city. Overnight stay at a hotel.
The last day of the tour package, you will return back to your country via TIA.
